Field Day June 24-25
Field Day is coming and everyone is invited to the largest single weekend in amateur radio. The Pueblo Ham Club will be operating again from Bill Nicoll’s cabin and a new location in Pueblo at 325W Main street across from the old judicial building. New hams and those that are interested in seeing what ham radio is all about are encouraged to attend. There will be 3 or 4 stations set up in Rosita and one or two in Pueblo that anybody is welcome to use, or they can bring their own.
PUEBLO - Pot Luck Dinner at 5:30 Club wil provide dogs and burgers. Setup will be 10 AM Saturday and we will operate until dusk. Sunday we will go from 9am until noon-ish.
ROSITA - Potluck luncheon at Bill Nicoll’s cabin near Rosita for Field Day, June 24. K0FFW will bring some BBQ/smoked beast of some kind – you just bring a side dish or dessert. Call Chas or Bill with any questions. Lunch will be served about noon
Antenna party Friday night the 23rd to set things up antenna-wise. Plenty of places to bring a tent/trailer for anybody interested. Also 4 bunks available in his bunkhouse. Worlds fanciest porta-potty on-site as well as shower facilities.
From the intersection of Thatcher and Pueblo Boulevard, travel west 44 miles to CR341, just about a minute or two past the “Rosita Road Sign”. After turning left onto CR341, travel 1.8 miles to the top of the hill where CR334 intersects. Turn right on CR334 and travel less than .5 mile to Lot 265 and you have arrived! Banners and signs will be placed along the way. Hope to see you there!
